Software Engineering at Victoria University

Co-owner of ATLNTK.com

About me

I am 21 years old and in my 4th (and final) year of Software Engineering at Victoria University. The nickname that I mostly go with my friends and family, is DJ!

I chose this since it has been my favourite interest since primary and has always been my strongest area. I find writing code and figuring out issues very enjoyable and I love designing UIs and websites. I also like to teach others and help them with projects as well as making web apps.

My other hobbies include listening to music, sports, hanging out with my friends and gaming [feel free to join :)]. I also love photography, which you can check out on my Instagram.

I have experience with React, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, PHP, Java, jQuery, Python, SQL, Angular, Processing, JavaScript, C#/DotNet, R, C, and C++, and a bit of Delphi, and jSwing. I'm keen to learn much more and improve my skills. Other than languages, I have also learnt AGILE, JIRA + Confluence, RESTful API, AWS, Scene Builder, UML, JavaFX and using Git.

My skills

Currently, I am a fullstack developer that specialises in front-end and design. I work regularly with React, creating websites and web-apps. I also create designs such as emails, logos, posters, and more.

I have learnt a few skills in some apps such as Sketch, Blender [How I rendered the bubbles on these pages], Affinity Photo Editor, and Premiere Pro where I make videos. I have also worked with Atlassian services and helped code a Jira plugin at work.

I have been on the Engineering Dean's List for Victoria University for both years. You can review my summary and records here.

I also have some projects that I have either finished or am currently working on. They include a website for a popular component library store, A fully functioning game written in Java and Processing, A grade-calculator/predictor that tracks and locally stores your education history [v2 now on the Google Play Store!], and many more.
All of these are detailed on my projects page.

past Work

Last year, I have been working at Xequte as a software developer and web designer. I also worked on my side project from Wooting, and recieved free mechanical keyboards as a form of sponsership to continue development!

In 2022, I was working as an Atlassian App Developer intern at TechTime Initiative Group. This is detailed on my work page.

In 2021, I was a temp worker for AWF. While not digital-related, this job required me to constantly work in new places and immediately do my part.

I have also been tutoring for two years at Victoria University for first-year COMP students. It's nice to read other people's code and help them out, while also improving my teaching skills.

I have experience creating websites too. Recently, I redesigned the site, imageen.com. In my free time, I also design mockups and peer code/teach my friends how to create pages using HTML/CSS and JavaScript or React.
